LibAnswers: OER Fellowship Questions

Based on our experiences from the first round of OER Fellowships, we made 2 big changes to the application process:

1. This round has a set application deadline and review period, as opposed to the first round when we reviewed applications and selected projects on a rolling basis. This change will allow us to review all applications at once and have a better initial understanding of the needs of all OER projects and Fellows.
2. Another difference is the requirement to develop and submit a more comprehensive project plan as part of the application worksheet. In the first round, we had participants work through the development of a project plan as the first step of their project work, but we learned that this clarity about the project scope would have been helpful for everyone to understand before beginning the project. We recognize that these plans may need to change as the work gets underway, but we hope that this pre-planning will provide a clearer picture of the work to be done in each project, both for the applicant and for the support team.
